"I have been following this crazy deal regarding GPS interference. After reading all the available info and if this info is valid for us readers to use as a way to decipher the truth, I was of the mind that all was well until Lightsquared was allowed to install 40000 powerful land towers in January, to send signals back to their satellite, up until that point I don’t think the industry and government agencies were too concerned.
Everything seemed to change when the FCC decided that there wasn’t going to be any problems with the addition of these powerful towers and that is where the problem lies. The L Band spectrum appeared to be used for satellites that needed some tower support, but they placed the limited support terrestrial towers in locations that were not going to present problems and placed very few of them. 40000 towers putting out billions of times more powerful signals than GPS, that could really be a real problem and of course we know that there is always games played when money is about to be made or lost. Solving problems is what my company does in the industrial additive world and I can assure you we have solved problems that cut into the profits of large manufacturers and we can get the solutions into the market, so I do know games are played to preserve capital. It takes us years in some cases to find real solutions, it may take many years for filters to be invented to prevent the interference regarding the precise GPS receivers.
In some cases there could be real challenges as well and if the FAA ends up having major problems and the farmers etc, the Obama administration will get the blame right before election time and that is something his guys will take into consideration before approving Falcones plan, who is a Harvard grad as well and Julius the head of the FCC and appointed by Obama is also a grad of Harvard so who knows how much self interest drives these deals.
Thanks for your hard work to expose duplicity, it’s good to know as much as we can to try and find the truth, which is hard sometimes.
I’m CEO of a chemical company and the reason myself and other entrepreneurs and business owners are following this is due to our concerns that if political contributions and duplicity in Washington has reached a point that one business is more important than another based on who you know, donations, lobbyist etc, we will start looking for other places besides the USA to invest where governments are less interested in anything except the facts based on facts presented to them. I would hate to see our public safety jeopardized via aviation concerns that come true and or our farming suffer and companies that have paid tons of taxes such as Deere end up really having valid concerns, have them ignored by the FCC due to a relationship with Falcone and we the citizens suffer in the end. I don’t know the truth here, but over time if the L2 venture is green lighted, the massive lawsuits against L2 and the government finger pointing will be huge.
Kind regards,
Mark Hughes"
